The resolution on human rights in DPRK, adopted at #HRC55 mandates a comprehensive stocktaking report during Kim Jong Un's era, reinforcing the UN's accountability efforts.

Systematic, widespread & gross human rights violations are ongoing in North Korea. It is vital that the international community does not lose sight of this human crisis. This is why the EU led once more this resolution at #HRC55 , extending the mandate of the Special Rapporteur.

#HRC55 | Draft resolution A/HRC/55/L.19 on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ( #DPRK ) was ADOPTED without a vote.

After two years of advocacy, coalition building, and meetings, the most ambitious resolution since 2016 has been adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council.

A big win. Our coalition’s proposal for a strong comprehensive update report following on from the 2014 COI report was included!
