And today, I spent a great day with Prof. Franciska de Vries 🦠🍄🪱🌱🍂🌍, Eileen Enderle, Yann Hautier, Katie Barry and Kevin Z. Mganga 🌾. We spent time at Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, the #BioCliVe experiment, and had a nice lunch seminar. Also had really stimulating discussions in the Botanical garden. Awesome day!

It is amazing to have this research work done with the support of all of my great collaborators. Grateful!
This work was done in close collaboration and guidance from Yann Hautier Katie Barry Nathaly Guerrero Ramírez, Prof. Peter Reich, my PhD advisor Prof. Enrong Yan, and great support from all the other great collaborators (>40). Thank you all for everything!!!
Yann Hautier Katie Barry Nathaly Guerrero Ramírez Using data from 65 grassland and forest biodiversity experiments, we show that the temporal strength of diversity effects at the community scale is underpinned by temporal changes in the species overyielding with different economic strategies.
Happy to share our first global effort to quantify the impact of extreme drought on biomass production, #DroughtNet led by Melinda Smith at CSU.

We are thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research paper in Journal of Applied Ecology, exploring grazing effects on stability at multiple scales in both PURE grasslands and shrub-encroached grasslands. doi.org/10.1111/1365-2….
Eskelinen et al. show that nutrient addition decreases grassland seed bank diversity, increases seed bank similarity to aboveground communities, and interacts with aboveground herbivory to affect their abundance.

Currently doing fieldwork in one of the prettier places I've worked, on the Stoderzinken Alp. Results to follow! Special thanks to HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein for their collaboration in setting up and planning the site, as well as the local farmers guild and game warden for their support!
