Great to be in the 'Athens of the North' talking about the Parthenon Marbles to the Friends of National Galleries of Scotland in the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre last night. The image by G.M. Kemp (1820s) shows us what a completed Parthenon on Edinburgh's Calton Hill would have looked like!
