The following park areas are closed for turf restoration: Magnolia Garden, Grass (turf) within Wilson Park, and a 50’x 80’ section, cordoned off, on the southcentral side of Washington Square.

#OnThisDay in 1776, John Barry received his first captain's commission in the Continental Navy. He would later earn the rank of Commodore and is considered a father of the Navy.
