On April 1, IOM Port of Spain proudly supported W.O.M.E.N’s Community Day in Longdenville, Chaguanas, in celebration of their Flourish programme. Migrant and local families enjoyed a day of kite flying, fun games and live music along with a pop-up market featuring both 🇻🇪 and 🇹🇹 vendors.

Ahead of publishing the DTM 2023, IOM Port of Spain presented research findings on April 4 to reps from gov't and the diplomatic corps.

Based on surveys done last year, IOM shared data on the key characteristics and challenges of 🇻🇪 migrants in 🇹🇹.

In Oct 2013, two shipwrecks on the Mediterranean claimed more than 600 lives, prompting the creation of Missing Migrants Project.

Since 2014, over 64,000 deaths have been recorded globally during migration, though the actual toll is likely much higher.
