The health community achieved a lot at last year's UN climate negotiations. The outcomes of the talks also still fell short of action we need, to protect people's health.

Economist Impact gave me a chance to reflect on all this, and on where we go from here.

While there was a lot of attention on #HealthDay , the next hours at COP28 are crucial for health.

To protect health, #COP28 must deliver a strong outcome. This includes an equitable phase out of all fossil fuels, and an ambitious outcome on adaptation and finance.

We’re glad to see that you also think the latest text doesn’t cut it, Steven Guilbeault.

I have come back to #COP28 , because we are on the brink of climate disaster & this conference must mark a turning point.

I am here to renew my urgent appeal to leaders:
