Got carried away yesterday testing the #ThamesPath between Abingdon & Goring - 52000 steps! Quite a lot of slippery mud. Much swearing but I managed to stay upright. Cholsey Marsh in particular was vile. 100 miles of path now covered this year & not even started my challenge ๐คฃ
To avoid the detour into Marlow caused by the closure of Temple Bridge, on Sunday I walked along the #Thames from Henley to Bourne End but between Hambleden & Temple Locks I used the north bank of the river rather than the Thames Path. Most enjoyable day!

Another victim of current river conditions is the ferry between Weybridge & Shepperton Lock - officially part of the #ThamesPath At Walton Bridge yesterday I assumed this would be the case & took the signed alternative route by crossing the bridge. Adds ยฝ mile but quite pleasant
Apologies if this detour on the #ThamesPath has already been publicised but there is one in place just after Staines Bridge heading towards Runnymede due to a damaged bridge before the M25/A30 bridges. Easy detour & no big deal. You rejoin the path at the Runnymede Hotel
Iโve seen black swans in Dawlish before but never on the Thames. This one looks like it could do with a bit of fattening up compared to his/her friend! Today at Shepperton Lock #blackswan
Today Iโm taking one for the team in seeing what the #ThamesPath is like walking from the Source to Cricklade. With my wellies & trusty puddle depth gauge so far my feet are still dry which is more than can be said for the group of 3 following me! #fingerpostfriday
Walking has become a passion of mine & Thames Path National Trail in particular, so much so that I've walked it 4 times & devoted a website to it. 70 next month, I'm testament that walking keeps you both physically & mentally fit - & it's free!! mythames.co.uk

After popping into Kew Gardens to admire the blossoms & search fruitlessly for cake, I resumed my walk towards my target, Putney. Yesterday was the Vesta Masters Head race on the ebb tide from Mortlake to Putney. BTW the Boat Race is this Saturday. #LoveLondonWalkLondon 2/2
Yesterday's 21 mile walk along the #ThamesPath started at Hampton Court where I shared the path as far as Kingston with the Hampton Court half marathon runners. #LoveLondonWalkLondon
