Canada's wildfire season is off to another fast start.

All but one fire in British Columbia started last year & smoldered beneath snow in winter. Those fires are now spreading.

Our skycam in South Lake Tahoe caught quite the show this evening!

This has been edited down - sort of a highlight reel.

But this storm was producing cloud to ground lightning for about 30 minutes around 8:00 pm. kcranews

Thunderstorms have developed along the Sierra crest. You can see them from the Valley!

Lots of lightning, but there's little risk for any fire starts. Still plenty of moisture in that area.
