I had a wonderful time sharing NASA Earth and my own story with students at my hometown HS. They asked great questions and had great ideas! A shout out to the terrific teachers and administrators who create a fantastic leaning environment Fitchburg Schools . Go Red Raiders! 🚀 🌎
Besides promising more science/$, NASA can take more risks with this type of mission and proof out new approaches. Congrats to PI team, and Karen St.Germain and her team for this success!
The key to innovation is to play the game to the end and not back off. You all stuck w it! 🥂🌎2
All, pls focus on the transformative and disruptive characteristics of this NASA Earth mission. It is a PI class mission (PI: Bill Blackwell, Lincoln Laboratory) but with a commercial development paradigm a bit like Planet or others. 🌎 1 nasa.gov/feature/nasas-…
Super exciting first results from our newest NASA Earth mission! Congratulations to Lincoln Laboratory! 🌎 🚀 🌊
It was an honor to deliver this award to Dr. Oki on behalf of NASA! Dr. Oki represents the spirit of the deep partnership and friendship between JAXA(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and NASA. Much of what we have measured and understand about global precipitation has benefited from Dr. Oki’s work.
