This strategy does not go far enough. I have been around long enough to remember every promise, policy, guidance, strategy announced by Welsh Government since 1999, yet here we are in 2024 with child poverty the highest it’s ever been in Wales. It’s beyond disappointing.

One of the saddest moments in my time as a parent and educator was when my son was 6 & I asked him how many books he had seen in school with 2 dads. His answer: 'None'
