The IDF is calling on Rafah residents to flee to an expanded 'humanitarian zone' called Al-Mawasi. It's an area consisting mainly of sandy dunes with no sewage, no running water and no electricity.

Mawasi is about one kilometer (0.6 miles) wide and 14 (8.7 miles) kilometers

This morning, students at Columbia University picketed outside the homes of three trustees.

At two of the three locations, random harassers suckerpunched student picketers. At one, a car drove into a student. NYPD arrested the student, who’s now with EMS.

Israeli voters over the age of 60 are more than twice as likely to support the establishment of a Palestinian state than Israeli voters under the age of 30.

Back at UT Austin for day two of protests. This one says it is both intended to support Gaza and to condemn the police response yesterday.

The crowd is at least 5x larger than the crowd that showed up yesterday at this time. Peaceful, quiet. Very little law enforcement presence.

There is years of accumulated evidence that this particular unit behaves like a far-right militia in army uniform, dominated by extreme settlers (some of them with criminal records) who commit regular crimes against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. axios.com/2024/04/20/us-…
