Today is the suspense file hearing day, when legislators find out which bills are moving to the floor and which are dead. On suspense day, I always remember the calming mantra Rachel’s preschool teacher taught her students: “You get what you get and you don’t get upset.” 😭 😃

But Armenians and Armenia continue to face ongoing threats and violence from Azerbaijan and Turkey. The world cannot be silent.

3) 🧵Armenians deserve to live in peace in Armenia and in their ancestral homeland of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh.

4) 🧵It was my honor to present and author HR 82 to commemorate the Armenian Genocide. Thank you Vrej Agajanian, Armand Aghakhanian, and Victoria Dochoghlian for joining the Assembly to remember those lost.

It was such an honor to have the legendary Dolores Huerta testify on behalf of my AB1963, a bill to ban paraquat in order to protect farm working communities. I have been in the legislature for eight years and this was one of my proudest moments.

Labor leader Dolores Huerta and #CAOC Legislative Director Nancy Peverini testified today in support of CAOC supported, Environmental Working Group sponsored, #AB1963 (@laurafriedmanCA) which bans the use of Paraquat (Roundup) in #California .
