Cuckoos, Tree Pipits, Redstarts, flycatchers and Wood Warblers will be arriving from Africa to find this. Habitat destruction on an unimaginable scale, committed by Russia. Eastern Ukraine's forests were full of rich wildlife.

Dear Michael Gove, swift bricks are a lovely win-win-win, a relatively easy tweak to regs, great politics for the Conservatives and a lovely little legacy for you. (If it happens, I'll think of you fondly every time a swift screams overhead, promise πŸ˜ƒ)

Blocked swift nest sites were reported by SOS Vencejos in Jan, in Seville, covered with cardboard. Today, those nests remain covered. Swifts are site loyal returning to the exact home after 9 months on the wing. πŸ’”

Dear Taylor Wimpey - please step up for swifts by actively supporting the proposal to add a swift brick requirement to Building Regulations. I know you have your own swift brick commitments but you have the power to ensure swifts have a future by urging Michael Gove to act?

These swifts had just crossed the Strait of Gibraltar+ encountered an unusual storm - fatal combination. SOS Vencejos rescued+revived them, telling me 'Soon you have them in your land.'
EPIC journeys but SWIFTS NEED SAFE NESTING HABITAT. They need HOMES to return to Michael Gove

The 'yodelling' song of Redshank has disappeared from most wetlands in Sussex as the county population has declined to just 32 pairs.
This is a photo I've been after for many years - fluttering flight, tail fanned, beak open and all in focus against a blue sky!
