And I apologise for being so incredibly ignorant.
The recent announcement from Australian Labor about paying for allied health practitioner placements did not include doctors 🤯🤯

Rhea Liang There are many of us doctors in Australia who are from refugee backgrounds. Who are experiencing PTSD. I am shocked that so many training colleges are silent. No one is offering support. I am simply appalled by this. It is shameful.

I would really like everyone to take a minute to realize how many trainees DON'T have someone to teach them the hidden curriculum or how to 'play the game'. Don't just look around you when thinking about this.

Everyone who is fixated on test scores doesn’t understand medicine. I ask other doctors for recommendations all the time for the best person to treat X or Y. Do you know how many times test scores come up? Zero. Everyone who graduates has passed the tests.

Rhea Liang I really struggle to understand people who simultaneously believe:
1. Being homeless is the worst social and residential outcome
2. People weigh up the costs and benefits and choose to be homeless
3. If we can find a way to make homelessness even worse, people will opt out of it.
