Congratulations to Chemistry alumnus Professor Pat Unwin on being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society, the UK’s national academy of sciences.

Pat was awarded the Potts Medal (see picture) in 2020, which recognises outstanding contributions to Chemistry.

Nigel Kneale mum, Czesława, sadly passed away from a brain tumour last October. Aiming to keep Czesława memory going, Nigel is running the Buxton half marathon to raise fund for the University of Liverpool Glioblastoma Research.
