Thank you to Cymer Afan Primary, Glyncorrwg Primary, Croeserw Primary and Pen Afan Primary who invited Lost Peatlands and Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales/DysguAwyrAgoredCymru/OutdoorLearningWales to deliver their INSET training day. Ideas were shared on using the outdoors to teach the curriculum and staff experienced a number of activities.

Great day today at Pen Y Cymoedd looking at the Wind Turbines and talking all things Climate Change! Big thanks again to Lost Peatlands Project/Prosiect Adfer Mawndiroedd 👍

This Parc Primary crew braved some pretty strong winds and low temperatures today at Pen y Cymoedd wind farm taking part in some Climate and Carbon activities to better understand the role renewables and peat play in our transition to net zero! Our Peatlands of South Wales project has recently restored 50 hectares of peatland in Glyncorrwg, that’s the equivalent in size of 70 rugby pitches!

School field trips are GO!

#CAPOak had a very windy afternoon at the wind farm! 💨 It was amazing to see the turbines up close and listen to all the super interesting information!
