I can not explain how important to me that 16,000 lone parents will benefit from legislation introduced today. I started pushing this in CEDAW 2017. I know the positive impact this will have on the lives of so many children.

This would make a massive difference in the lives of children living in poverty. The state failed these children by allowing their parents to financially abuse them. This, if fully implemented would make a massive difference in the lives of the poorest women and their children.

New figures just issued report a shocking record total of 13,514 people homeless. This includes a record total of 4,105 children. The Govt must act now to maximise the number of long-term homeless households moving out of homelessness & into their own home. 1/2
