The smiles on the faces when the bat detectors went off said it all! Thanks to Andy Karran Gwent Wildlife Trust for joining us and leading the bat walk at Road to Nature last night, the bats didn't disappoint!
Huge thanks to Kevin Hewitt for the marvellous moth experience at the Road to Nature last night. It was so lovely to stand back and listen as he shared his knowledge and the magic of the moth trap with everyone. #Newport #biodiversity
Fab session for local families yesterday on Road To Nature site with Emma Emma Williams discovering amazing world of Fungi & vital role they play in ecology.

So it's #walesNatureWeek and I'm away on holiday in France, but I just had to post a pic of this treasure on the willow tree of my French holiday garden, It's at least 5cm long!!!!
Sometimes there's so much going on that its hard to see the wood from the trees.Up early on the laptop this morning😵💫but just taking 5 to enjoy a cuppa in the garden & filter my thoughts in my happy place. Is it really only Monday morning 🤪 #lovemygarden #welcometothejungle
