When you survive a rough childhood, you tend to get a lot of pats on the back for your “resilience'-- so much so that many trauma survivors I know are sick to DEATH of being told how “resilient” they are.

You don’t stop “living in the past” after abuse. You can’t pick a date or period of time & say “I should be over that.” It’s not just the days it happened but the days, months, years your body remembered it. This isn’t living in the past, it’s asking permission to heal from it.

Break the cycle by focusing on what you can control, not what you can't.

Prioritise your tasks, ask for help when needed, and remember to take breaks — so you feel more balanced.

Really sad to hear this. Especially considering Dyspraxia as a neurodivergence isn’t spoken about enough. Charities are under a lot of pressure to fill the gaps with much needed but lacking support. Financially this isn’t always possible. Thank you DYSPRAXIA FOUNDATION for your work.

Incredibly sad to hear this. The dyspraxia foundation has done so much to support so many and to raise dyspraxia's visibility - which still runs far behind other forms of neurodivergence. Thank you so much to everyone who has put in so much work behind the scenes. We continue.

It's better to say 'took their own life' or 'died by suicide'. Remember, words matter, and the victims of suicide are just that, victims.

Don't feel bad if you've used that term before, it's easy to do it. But now you know, help us spread the word.

Let's be committed to not saying 'committed'.

Suicide has not been a crime in the UK since 1961. When we use terms like 'committed suicide', we make the issue more difficult to talk about and prolong the pain for the person's loved ones.

Dyspraxia affects co-ordination, spatial awareness and sensory perception.

Dyspraxic kids and teens are twice as likely to develop mental health problems.

Half of children with dyspraxia also have ADHD.
