The war in Gaza is taking an unimaginable toll on children.

In Rafah, a city of children, the impact of a further escalation would be devastating.

The lives of children must be protected.

All the hostages must be released.

The nightmare for so many families must end.

Today’s UN Security Council resolution demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages and unimpeded aid access.

We urge all parties to the conflict to implement the resolution NOW to alleviate the suffering of so many children and families.

The proposed rollback on the ban of female genital mutilation in The Gambia is deeply worrying.

UNICEF and UNFPA are urging the government to maintain the ban and uphold the rights of women and girls.

Time is running out.

Many children already face severe acute malnutrition in Gaza.

As the threat of famine intensifies, hundreds of thousands more young children could soon be severely malnourished, with some at risk of death.

We cannot allow that to happen.

We're seeing horrifying images of children and civilians killed in Gaza-yet again-as they shelter in a school which must always be protected.  
 
The carnage must end. 
 
The suffering must end. 
 
This nightmare for children must end NOW!

I am deeply troubled by the rise in antisemitism & anti-Muslim bigotry.

The images of suffering in the Middle East are heart breaking & soul crushing.

But hateful rhetoric and provocative actions must cease.

We must find a way to hold on to our common humanity.

Children are being killed.

It has to STOP. NOW.

All humanitarians and the children and families they serve MUST be protected.

Children in Gaza have been hearing these ear-shattering sounds constantly for the last two weeks.

UNICEF is calling for an immediate ceasefire and for sustained and unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance.

The crisis in Haiti grows worse by the day. Half the population needs humanitarian assistance.

But half of those in need aren’t getting it–in large part because of insecurity & insufficient funding.

The UN Child Rights Committee #CRC  strongly condemns the grave violations of children's rights occurring in #Gaza . The hospital & UN school attacks take the situation to a new level of horror.

We urge for an immediate ceasefire, and an open humanitarian corridor.

UNICEF Sudan & partners delivered 500 tons of polymer, a critical supply for water treatment, to #Khartoum , #Sudan .

This supply is especially key during the coming rainy season to treat turbid water & provide children & families with access to clean water.

Thanks to the support of USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, 1,000 young children are being treated and saved from malnutrition

I was in Haiti last week. I heard horrific stories but there was hope.

The children still dream of a better future.

They want to be the doctors, nurses and entrepreneurs that Haiti needs.
