Today's tragic events are a sobering reminder of the need for safe infrastructure. As the news broke, RSA Ireland were in front of an Oireachtas Committee. They were asked had they ever made submissions in support of safe infrastructure.

Their silence in response speaks volumes.

Feel like it shouldn't need saying, but National Parks aren't primarily tourism destinations. Sure, that might be a positive by-product.

They are, in fact, or at least should be, for protecting nature.
