Identifying the sources of the debris from data on drinks bottles allows for upstream solutions and manufacturer accountability
A great, engaging, open and honest discussion today on βco-design for the science we needβ chaired by Heather Koldewey. The panel discussed their experiences, shared ideas for how to approach co-design and discussed some of the challenges they'd experienced.
Day 1 of the UN Ocean Decade conference has been filled with inspiring scientists and acknowledgement of the need for action. We need to engage at community, national and international levels and make sure no one is left behind in decision making. A very informative day!
Welcome to #OceanDecade 24 !
Today, we'll open the Conference with Heads of State and global leaders, discuss the conditions of success for the #OceanDecade , and showcase solutions for a clean, healthy and resilient ocean.

Shallow corals are not the only ones threatened by #climatechange ... During our expedition in the #Chagos Archipelago ( #IndianOcean ) in Jan-Feb 2024 we observed pale & #bleached #mesophotic #corals between 60 and 90m deepπ! If you can, please survey coral reefs #deeper
We were thrilled to welcome Tom B Letessier to University of Exeter, Cornwall last week as part of our Indian Ocean conservation event in collaboration with ZSLMarine! π
