A great, engaging, open and honest discussion today on “co-design for the science we need” chaired by Heather Koldewey. The panel discussed their experiences, shared ideas for how to approach co-design and discussed some of the challenges they'd experienced.

Day 1 of the UN Ocean Decade conference has been filled with inspiring scientists and acknowledgement of the need for action. We need to engage at community, national and international levels and make sure no one is left behind in decision making. A very informative day!

Last week I attended my first in person 🌊🐢ISTS Sea Turtle Symposium ! I presented two chapters from my PhD, one presentation on the predation of sea turtle eggs by rats and crabs 🦀 and a poster on sea turtle nest site selection 🏝️ What a wonderful welcoming and supportive community! 🐢
