Maybe it's just me, but this blog from the once (but no longer) admirable The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust has more than a hint of threat about it gwct.org.uk/blogs/news/202…
It's unlikely that a The Labour Party administration in England would swallow this stuff, and we know that The SNP haven't in
Another big illegal disturbance today Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales Pembs Coastal Forum Pembrokeshire Coast National Park National Trust Cymru by coasteering - these auks settled before disturbance. Some in crevices - counted 8pairs visible… contd
It’s this sort of commonplace disrespect to the natural environment that makes me against the #RightToRoam
Enough of our designated sites and important habitats face serious disturbance. Do we really want to exacerbate the damage public access already does?
Lead was eliminated from petrol years ago but Stormwater Shepherds found it in road runoff at several sites. Even low levels of lead may harm tadpoles, frogs & fish. (Taddlers below are nowhere near a road.🐸)

I'm pleased to have got, after a bit of a wait, these responses from National Trust about whether a nature conservation investor should put money in their direction. markavery.info/2024/05/15/bei…
I'll respond to their response in a few days - maybe Saturday - but what do you think?
There was one point in time when National Trust choosing between globally important lowland heath & small area of extra lawn would have been a no-brainer.
Here tho, they’ve decided to keep destroying the last example of this lowland heath at Speke Hall in Merseyside. Heartbroken
Joshua Styles National Trust Liverpool Echo Merseyside BioBank Celia Richardson Speke Hall Chris Packham Mark Avery Ruth Tingay Hi Speke Hall why not disrupt the intended form, return to the original heath that used to be enjoyed by all in medieval times & use it as a living exhibit to discuss rights & wrongs of rich people enclosing land; put it into a modern context - challenge visitor expectations
