Today I overruled 58 official advisory opinions that were issued by Virginia AGs from 1904-1967 to implement or support discriminatory laws like school segregation, poll taxes, and more. It's an important step in correcting injustices, and ensuring they never happen again.

There's no mechanism to withdraw the ratification of an amendment and historically states that have tried were unsuccessful.

We made history when VA became the 38th and final state needed to ratify the ERA, adding gender equality to the Constitution. We cannot go back now.
