The phrase 'mass arrests' makes it sound as though these are people who have done something wrong. These are vulnerable people seeking asylum, who are being locked away indefinitely solely because they tried to find safety in the UK.

It is essential for families that minimum income requirements are not increased. Nobody should be priced out of love, yet these rises will see 50% of the UK population initially, 70% by the final planned increase, unable to be with a migrant spouse.

Take a moment to read and share. Immigration detention puts people's lives at risk. Detaining those seeking asylum will only increase the trauma they have already been through.

You cannot treat vulnerable people this way. These tactics are already causing significant harm and distress to people affected. People need protection, not imprisonment.

As of today the Home Office is conducting an operation to detain vulnerable people seeking safety. This is a terrifying time for so many people. Ensure that everyone knows their rights, and knows what they can do.
