This will be Mike Miles Millard House last day. In 20 months as superintendent he has improved the academic performance of the schools that needed attention. He shepherded the district in difficult times. I want to thank him and apologize to him for how the State treated him. st

.Millard House II is an exceptional leader who has managed Houston ISD incredibly well through some very challenging and uncertain times.

Our community is better because of his service and Houston will be worse off because of his departure.

Congrats to Edgardo Jimenez from Benbrook Elementary, for being March's Teacher of the month. Mr. Jimenez has changed the trajectory of what it means to support the whole child. He is loved by many in the district and we’re excited to see what he does next for our students.
