For the past 7 months, Jerry Mitchell and I combed through hundreds of pages of lawsuits filed against the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department in rural MS. What we found was a history of alleged sex abuse, violence and a jail that went largely unchecked. nytimes.com/2023/04/11/us/…
