Political Power is one of the most undervalued, underrated and under appreciated sources of community development in the black and brown community. Religious communities also are not properly educated on the value of their political voices. Unfortunately laws impact us all.

Eleven years ago today, 17-year-old Jordan Davis was shot and killed over loud music at a Florida gas station. After his senseless death, Jordan’s mother, Rep. Lucy McBath, dedicated her life to ending gun violence, becoming a national leader with Moms Demand Action and Everytown.
