To kick off White House Correspondents' Dinner week in Washington DC, some of the country's finest members of the press and political classes joined me & CNN CNN for the #KangarooCup tennis tournament.

That’s game, set and match! Congratulations to the winners, NSC's Jim Miller & State Department's Nick Snyder, who overcame a fierce field to take home vintage Australiana trophies. A win for politicians everywhere. The Fourth Estate is invited back to seize the prize next year.

Brilliant to partner with CNN on the opening event for the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Congrats to all players, good sports every one of you. Such a great day, we may have to do it all again next year.

The violent attack against innocent people going about their normal lives at Bondi in Sydney is beyond comprehension. Australians in the US share the sorrow of those at home for the lives lost. Our hearts go out to their families and we hope for a full recovery for those injured.
