Shri Muktesh Pardeshi, Secretary (CPV&OIA) had a fruitful meeting with Vice Haj Minister, HE Dr. Abdul-Fattah bin Sulaiman Mashat in Jeddah today. They reviewed the preparations of the forthcoming Haj with a focus on providing the best services to the Indian pilgrims.

A Consular Camp is underway in Aden, Yemen by the joint team of Indian Embassies in Riyadh & Djibouti at the Mahatma Gandhi International School, Aden. The Camp was inaugurated on May 5 with paying floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi in the presence of a large Indian community.

The delegation also visited various sites of importance in Madinah- the periphery of the revered Prophet's Mosque, the mountain of Uhud & the periphery of the Quba Mosque. All these sites are frequented by Indian pilgrims when they visit Madinah as part of Umrah & Haj pilgrimage.

Shri Muktesh Pardeshi, Secretary (CPV&OIA), along with JS Gulf Mr Aseem Mahajan & Amb. Dr Suhel Khan visited Madinah today & reviewed the Haj arrangements. They visited the Madinah Airport, pilgrims accommodations and Indian Haj Mission office.

Shri Muktesh Pardeshi, Deputy Minister/Secretary (CPV&OIA) arrived at Jeddah on his first official visit to KSA. He was received by Amb. Dr Suhel Khan & CG Mohd Shahid. During the visit, he will meet with Saudi & GCC officials & review Haj arrangements & the consular services.

Secy (CPV & OIA) Muktesh Pardeshi led the Indian delegation at the meeting of BRICS Deputy Foreign Ministers and Special Envoys on the Middle East and North Africa in Moscow on April 25.
