Culture and Social Justice Secretary, Lesley Griffiths, was in Rhyl today as a Purple Plaque was unveiled to celebrate and recognise the life, work and achievements of Dorothy Miles🟣

Dorothy was an activist and pioneer of British Sign Language (BSL) poetry.

Really looking forward to unveiling our 16th Purple Plaque tomorrow in Rhyl. Dorothy Miles was a truly remarkable woman: a sign language poet and performer whose achievements deserve to be known in the hearing world (she's already very well known in the deaf community)
