Remember, again, inflation may be down, but prices are much higher than they were 3 years ago. Prices are not coming down. They are rising more slowly.

Yesterday’s announcement helps stabilise public finances. It doesn't mean Northern Ireland is flush with cash. It simply ensures funding meets needs from 2024-25. Rebuilding from the yrs of underfunding will be costly. We still need prioritisation of government focus via a PfG.

Today, I visited our N Ireland Education Authority school support staff members outside Mitchell House School, East Belfast.
The failure of politicians has left school support staff with no alternative but to return to the picket line. They have Unite the union: join a union's complete support.

Day 3 on the Cookstown picket and while the weather may be grey and a bit wet, there's no dampening of the enthusiasm of members to fight for fair pay!
