'Non-qualifying' leaseholders in Vista Tower and in other buildings will continue to be very concerned that they will not be protected from life-changing sums being charged to them due to building safety work, this is a failure of the BSA that needs to be addressed. 4/

That said, it is disappointing we've had to wait nearly 2yrs for this tribunal decision and nearly 5yrs since we found out our building was unsafe to get to this point. There must be easier and quicker routes made available for leaseholders who just want to live in safe homes. 3/

We can’t go on like this. In spite of asking on every single day of the Committee stage of the Leasehold Bill, we still have no idea what the government will propose on ground rent! Surely we can’t move into the report stage of the Bill without this vital information?

This is the story I quoted in the Committee stage of the Bill last week, as if any further proof were needed that unscrupulous landlords are turning ground rent into daylight robbery.
