The Sheriff’s Joint Compliance Task Force was joined by NYPD Community Response Team Leadership (CRT). They conducted 2 inspections and an eviction.

One location had over 15 pounds of cannabis and another location had over 129 cartons of untaxed cigarettes.

The Sheriff’s Office participated in NYPD’s Ghost Car Operation at the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. The Ghost Car Operation consisted of the Sheriff’s Road Patrol Unit, Sheriff’s County Law Enforcement Bureaus (LEBs), the Sheriff’s Response Team (SRT), NYPD, NYSP, NYSDMV, MTA TBTA.

On the heels of yesterday’s announcement by Mayor Adams of the lawsuit against 11 Vape manufacturers.; The Sheriff’s Office jointly with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office continues to recover illegal vapes during inspections.

Sheriff Anthony Miranda and Richmond County DA Michael McMahon joined New York City Marshal Justin Grossman in evicting an illegal unlicensed smoke shop. This was a successful collaboration of city and state agencies working with the landlord to help keep our communities safer.
