i love poetry i love reading poetry i love writing poetry i love knowing someone has felt as i do now decades ago i love finding myself in someone else's work and i'd love for people to find themselves in mine

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth
preferring salt over sugar
but you are like
the moon to a wolf

distant

making my blood change
with a sudden craving
for tastes intertwined

roses lament for me
howling as you pass
feeling a hunger
that will never be sated.
