💡What is the most effective yet efficient re-ranking depth using an effective first-stage retriever such as SPLADE++/RepLLaMA, coupled with an LLM-based re-ranker? We found that a re-ranking depth of 20 achieves an excellent balance between effectiveness and efficiency.
