On #WorldAsthmaDay , I'm backing Asthma + Lung UK Scotland to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with the condition.

Asthmatics in deprived households are 2-3 times more likely to need emergency treatment in Scotland. Scottish Government must do more to reduce this health inequality.

I want to commend the police officers - including the two that were injured - that responded to the shocking incident in Paisley this afternoon.

Police officers put themselves at risk to keep us safe and I know the community is grateful for their professionalism and bravery.

Incredible response today from all officers, across divisional boundaries against an immediate threat.

For legal reasons I can’t comment but I can assure those who have been in touch welfare measures are in place and the SLT were immediately deployed to support the team. 🙏
