Justice Secretary Alex Chalk KC MP has said that a justice system which ensures the innocent walk free is a priority for him.
Andrew Malkinson and APPEAL therefore hope he will act decisively to bring in new leadership at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
The JENGbA prisoners & families want to thank you Andrew for reminding those working in our criminal injustice system that the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) is currently not fit for purpose. #jointenterprise prisoners have no way of getting appeals as they refuse to refer cases APPEAL

I agree with Andrew Malkinson: 'too little, too late' and I echo his call for Alex Chalk KC MP to bring in new leadership at the CCRC.
How many more people have been let down by the CCRC? I await the review of the service with interest.
The article adds to the growing number of voices rejecting injustice in the legal system, including Art Not Evidence which is fighting the criminalisation of rap, as well as groups demanding the dismantling of joint enterprise @Jengba Kids Of Colour Adèle O☁️
And to think that my beloved co-author Adèle O☁️ and I are sharing that space with Nisha & other contributors on JENGbA Deborah Coles + many more...

Before last night I had never heard of the #birmingham4 case. What I heard shocked and appalled me. Solidarity with the men and their families, and more power to all those supporting them: Moazzam Begg, Gareth Peirce & Stephen Kamlish KC. More info here: birminghamfour.co.uk
