Cherwell District Council impasse resolved this evening:

North Oxfordshire Conservatives' Barry Wood voted as Leader of the Council by 21 votes (19 #Conservative & 2 Indy) to 11 (Labour) with LibDems, Greens & 1 Indy abstaining.

Local democracy returns.

The duty on average strength draught beer sold in pubs across the UK will be frozen.

This will help the hospitality sector including pubs and restaurants.
