IMO numbers play a key role in controlling vessels at sea and helping authorities to prevent illegal fishing.

We urge General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean to make this identification information compulsory for all vessels longer than 12 metres since currently it's not.

📢We urge the Govern de les Illes Balears to effectively adopt management measures to protect 🇪🇸Cabrera National Park's marine biodiversity.

The extension of the park, effective from 2019, lacks appropriate measures to safeguard the area from industrial fishing. Our proposal👇

To effectively tackle illegal fishing, fining vessels or their captains is not enough.

General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean we need more transparency on companies & citizens ultimately benefiting from illegal activities.

They need to be exposed & pay for their actions!
