2024 CCCAA PLAYOFFS

Ohlone Boyz advance to Regionals for sixth straight season. Ohlone, who finished 28-12 overall, will travel to Skyline College to take on the Trojans. Game 1 is Friday, with Games 2 and 3 over the weekend.

Ohlone 10, West Valley 9

Ohlone completes season sweep of West Valley, beating them all four times this season. Ray Hernandez runs the gauntlet, beating every team in Coast Conf (and WV twice). Gades finish regular season 28-12 overall, 15-5 in Conference. Playoffs coming up!

Ohlone 5, Hartnell 2

Ohlone Boyz win another one, to move to 27-12 overall. Will “The Thrill” Anderson homers twice, Ethan “Big Train” Foley goes 8 inns, and Diego Menjivar closes it with three whiffs. Gades play tomorrow at 2:30 PM for final regular season matchup.

Ohlone falls to Gavilan by a score of 11-5. Gades now drop to 26-12 overall and 13-5 in Coast Conference. Ohlone in a must-win situation on Tuesday at home. Gametime is 2:30 PM at The OC. See you all there!

“Tuesday! Tuesday!” 🦅 Gades get a big Tuesday win at Monterey on the road. Down 3-2, Gades tie it on Shaddix sac fly and Brendan Comerford hits his 10th bomb of 2024. Ethan Foley (8), Ben Thompson (pictured) (5), and Diego Menjivar (3) combine for 16 K’s!

Congrats to Diego Menjivar, selected as Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week (Week 11). Menjivar threw 6 innings in relief, notching 2 saves.

Ohlone 9, West Valley 8

Ohlone Boyz do it again. Niko Lombardi blasts a walk-off homerun to win it in bottom of 9th over West Valley. The homerun gives the Gades a series sweep, winning all three this week.

Ohlone wins again, this time 8-4, at West Valley. Ray Hernandez goes 8 inns for the win while Nico (Azpilcueta) & Niko (Lombardi) do bulk of the damage at the plate. Carson Burnett with 3 hits also. Gades and WV play Game 3 of Series tomorrow at Ohlone. Start time is 2:00.

Ohlone 7, West Valley 2

Gades capture 7-2 victory behind the arms of Ethan Foley (7 IP, 2 R, 5 K’s) and Diego Menjivar (2 IP, 0 R, 2 K’s). Gavin Shaddix with 3 RBI and Nico Azpilcueta with big 2-run HR. Gades back in action tomorrow in Saratoga.

Ohlone Baseball is FAMILY - every player is forever a Renegade. Jackson Nystrom (2023) is one of the BEST players and persons we’ve EVER had. Recently, Jackson (currently playing at USF), was diagnosed with cancer. We ask prayers for his recovery. The Gades are here for you Nys!
