The Final Year by Matt Goodfellow is every bit is excellent as everyone is saying and a superb choice for a Year 5/6 class reader. It’s a proper verse novel (written in dialect) by a poet who understands how narratives for kids work. I’m late to the party but it’s a damn good party🌟
