#OSCE expert mission presented today its #MoscowMechanism report. The evidence proves a massive scale & the systemic, consistent, deliberate pattern of unlawful conduct targeting 🇺🇦 civilians by 🇷🇺 aggressors. It is our collective responsibility to bring perpetrators to justice.

At today’s #OSCE council meeting we listened to SG Marija Pejčinović Burić presenting Council of Europe priorities. The better the challenge of ensuring #accountability for non-compliance with int’l commitments is met by both organisations, the stronger the community of democratic states will get.

We need to counter the culture of impunity for trafficking, including forced displacement of children due to 🇷🇺 aggression against 🇺🇦. Awareness & action have also a place the #OSCE . 🙏🏻 to OSCE Anti-Trafficking & Group of Friends of Children in Armed Conflict proudly supported by Poland in the OSCE.

Congratulations to Crimeahrg & thank you to Sweden in the OSCE 🇸🇪 for hosting the ceremony & the excellent seminar on Political Prisoners in the #OSCE region. We took well note of recommendations for the OSCE community made by #HumanRights practitioners!

FM Radosław Sikorski 🇵🇱🇪🇺 met today with the Director of the #OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Matteo Mecacci.

During the meeting, the head of 🇵🇱 diplomacy emphasized the leading role of OSCE/ODIHR in protecting human rights and promoting the rule of law.

In today’s #OSCE plenary session 🇷🇺 ignored the repeated plea of 4️⃣1️⃣ countries under #ViennaMechanism . Unsurprising proof by 🇷🇺 of disrespect for OSCE & it’s participating States. Or rather self-disrespect. Where totalitarian populism reigns, international acknowledgement ends.

#Polska 🇵🇱 warmly welcomes #Hrvatska 🇭🇷 as the new chair of the #OSCE ’s #FSC . We support #Croatia ’s priorities for the upcoming trimester presented today & stand ready to engage in discussions.

#OSCE ’s annual Alliance Against Trafficking in Persons Conference offers space for governments, international organisations & civil society to discuss how strategies can be put best into practice. Excellent proof of OSCE’s proactive approach & valuable work.

Another #OSCE Permanent Council discussing the ongoing 🇷🇺 aggression against 🇺🇦. .Poland in the OSCE 🇵🇱: We see no point in partnering in the OSCE with traitors of its letter & spirit. We will not legitimise corrosion of the very sense of OSCE which is political, not bureaucratic.

On March 25th, Belarusians celebrate the Freedom Day (Дзень Волі). This holiday is unrecognised, and its celebration is penalised by the regime in Minsk.

Poland 🇵🇱 stands in solidarity with Belarusians who fight for freedom and human rights.

4⃣1⃣ #OSCE participating States, including 🇵🇱, invoked the #ViennaMechanism aiming at obtaining unambiguous responses from 🇷🇺 on
👉arbitrary or unjust arrests and detentions
👉targeting of political opposition
👉torture and mistreatment.

We strongly reject this act of political aggression by Russia. Imposition of the vote on illegally occupied and controlled territories blatantly contradicts #OSCE commitments & international law.

Disinformation & propaganda have been a pattern of Russia’s appearance in the #OSCE for long. Today’s nonsense statement in the plenary referred to “hybrid aggression by NATO on Russia”. Machiavelli would not be satisfied with the strength of the argument.
