Nicole King Brandon M. Scott The City needs to declare a default & terminate the LDDA. After 2 decades its obvious La Cite doesnt have capacity to perform. If they sue again, fight it out. Its hard to believe the LDDA was so poorly drafted by City Solicitor's office that the City is still locked in.
If the Poppleton LDDA signed in 2006 is so legally binding, why does the developer get to continuously blow deadlines? Not pay back loans or water bills? Is the City going to support its residents or outside developers full of broken promises Brandon M. Scott?
Went to early vote & as soon I walked in the fire alarm went off ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ hope this is not a sign of things to come ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ
Not gonna vote Dixon. She greatly assisted this redevelopment mess in Poppleton + is now bought and sold by David Smith et. al. Onward โฆ not backward, Baltimore.
I want to contrast this exchange with Sheila Dixon in the Banner with the op-ed 23-year-old Keniera Wagstaff wrote for our youth voter guide.
Mayor Scottโs admin provides funding via ARPA to pay liveable wages to residents to clean alleys, lots, streets and landscape our parks & green spaces in a dozen hoods like mine. Re-elect Brandon M. Scott because he would rather teach you to do better than give you a citation.
Thatโs amazing. Makes my โค๏ธ full. Exactly what professors should be doing. SOLIDARITY. And thanks ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐ for your reporting.
What role did Balto Sun's new owner, David Smith, play in Thiru Vignarajah exit?
Hint: Within minutes of the announcement, Sun co-owner, Armstrong Williams, praises Vignarajah's 'selfless act' in uniting with Sheila Dixon.

A time was had last night in Baltimore. Grateful for my friends and collaborators (Nicole King Joshua Clark Davis and Sarah Fouts) for an amazing event with Davarian L. Baldwin. UMBC + UBalt make a pretty good team.
Happy to be in Baltimore today. It seems irrelevant given the real time attacks on our campuses but also never more prescient as these spaces have been a vital site of struggle from the campus, to the community, to Gaza...fascism's power and our freedom are forever linked โ๐ฟ๐ต๐ธ
