2 really important points raised here by Nicole.
1. Improving flow is not about moving beds, it’s about reducing delays and waits for patients
2. Make SAFER-f normal daily business, not additional or as an add-on. Just how we do things around here.

The principles of flow are complex and multifactorial, and the SAFER patient flow bundle still stands up as a framework to build consistency and focus on reducing waits and delays for patients.
Really good to see this research Pete Gordon

After 36yrs in the NHS starting as a v naive student nurse & finishing with Elective & Emergency Care Improvement Support Team, someone asked me what I’d learnt. If stuff doesn’t make sense to most of those doing the work it probably doesn’t make sense. Keep things simple. Look after your people.

A great event was held by SPSP Acute Adult a few weeks back.
🗣️ I contributed a short talk titled: ' #Falls - worth the risk?'
Unexpectedly, it was a talk that at moments I found hard to continue with. #Deconditioning strikes close to home.
