While disappointed RGGI was left out…The budget includes huge wins for clean water:

- 231m for Ag best practices
- 20m for Pay for Outcomes pilot
- 400m for wastewater upgrades
- 11m for oysters
- 100m for climate adaptation
- 1m to create the Office of Resilience
- and more!

As a reminder, the General Assembly will be back in Richmond to vote on Monday afternoon.

Thanks to the Norfolk Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta for hosting a great conversation earlier this week about the 2024 legislative session. It was great to be with you and many of my Norfolk colleagues.

This incredibly draconian law in Florida is just the latest reminder that elections matter. Here in Virginia, despite what's happening elsewhere, we're focused on enshrining reproductive freedom in our constitution.

The Gov tried to weaken the bill, but that was rejected 0-98. He's the only person standing in the way of safer hospitals--but he can still correct course.

...but what I really want is a final budget deal that advances clean and affordable energy, protects our environment, invests in coastal resiliency, & prioritizes conservation across Virginia.

Loved seeing the House uniformly reject the Gov’s amendments to my HB 861, which prohibits dangerous weapons in hospitals.

The amendments would have gutted the bill & failed to keep frontline healthcare workers safe.

It’s true.
