STEM is Launched RAF Shawbury 🚁🚀
Pupils from St Mary’s Primary School enjoyed the launch event of RAF Shawbury’s STEM programme yesterday. Along with launching rockets, using VR headsets and building aircraft, the day was full of variety, learning and fun for all.

Flt Lts Palmer and Slater from RAF Odiham are undertaking a massive charity cycle ride for the #royalairforcesassociation from Land's End to John o' Groats taking in 20 RAF Stations on route. Over 20 days they plan to cycle 1603 miles. On Day 10 they dropped into RAF Shawbury.

There is a new Commanding Officer at 705 Naval Air Squadron, part of No. 1 Flying Training School RAF Shawbury. As per custom of the Squadron, Lieutenant Commander Forrest has handed the symbolic cord-bound brass telescope to Lieutenant Commander De Maine as he takes command.
It was a pleasure to welcome Air Commodore Portlock, 2 Group Commander Airbases, to RAF Shawbury this week. The Air Commodore, who is responsible for commanding and directing the airbase element of RAF Stations, enjoyed face-to face discussions with a variety of our personnel.
The RAF Rugby League Academy has held a Training Camp RAF Shawbury prior to playing Telford Hornets. Sport with its requirements for teamwork and leadership chimes well with military life and is encouraged at all levels.
RAF Shawbury was honoured and privileged to provide an all female Guard of Honour at the funeral of 107 year old veteran Rose Davies yesterday. Here is a reminder of an interview with this incredible lady.
