Yesterday one of our Rochester leaders spoke with Speaker Carl E. Heastie about the urgent need for parole justice. Jose went to prison as a teenager, served 26 years, and now does great work in his community. Please help bring home more Joses, Mr. Speaker.
BREAKING: Gov. Hochul just granted clemency to 2 incarcerated people, including to Yohannes Johnson, a member of the RAPP family. She also granted 11 pardons. Huge shoutout to our friends CUNY School of Law and everyone else who made these clemency grants happen. Our statement:
