Well, you say that…..

A great evening was had by all, celebrating the double achievement of winning the Middlesex Senior Cup and gaining promotion to step 4, with a great group of players and back room staff.

Not sure exactly what’s going on here but Kyel Reid seems more pleased with his award than keeper Jack Smith.

Manny Folarin, quite rightly pick up the award for ‘Best dressed player’.

Marco Correia was voted ‘worst banter’.

‘Goal of the season’ not surprisingly went to midfield dynamo Troy Perez-Duah, who had the top three candidates and his 25 yard screamer in the Play-Off final was the stand out winner.

Having been playing for Gary Meakin since 2017, it was not much of a surprise when club captain, and all round star man, Aaron Minhas was voted ‘Manager’s pet’.

There were a few more light hearted awards given out during the evening. Hassan Jalloh was voted both ‘best tekkers’ & ‘worst dressed’.

Young goal keeper Matt Burrows was recognised for all his hard work during the season, both in training and on match days.

Elliott Buchanan picked up the Golden Boot as the club’s top scorer.

Frank Keita picked up the ‘Manager’s player of the year’.

Rio Connell was voted ‘players player of the year’.

Troy Perez-Duah was voted the supporters ‘player of the year’.

Praise also for Martin Noblett, rarely missing a game, home or away, always offering vocal support to the team.

Also recognised for all his hard work behind the scenes was Tony Pratt, who, amongst his many other duties, always ensures that the match officials are well looked after when they visit.

There was much deserved recognition for Emma Galloway, club secretary, who has performed fantastically well this year, often in difficult circumstances, whilst maintaining her composure and good nature. Well done Emma!

Every County has its County Day. In Middlesex we commemorate the sacrifice made by the Middlesex Regiment Middlesex Regiment over the centuries. This Sat May 11 at the beautiful Middlesex Chapel in St Paul's Cathedral 10.30 am there is a service to their immortal memory. You're invited.
