Sounds like the early language from some of the national reporters was wrong. Lots of 'extension' and 'four more years' talk. Think this is actually a two-year raise/guarantee for Kelce, not adding new years.

Compensation update: Travis Kelce signed a two-year, $34.25 million deal that includes $17 million fully guaranteed this year and most of next year guaranteed on day 3 of the league year in mid March.

Per his 2 year, $34.25M extension through 2027, Travis Kelce secures:

- guaranteed money in 2024 (previously $0)
- early offseason guarantees thereafter
- the highest TE AAV ($17.125M) in history
- an assumed lower cap hit for 2024
